Founded in 1990 a few kilometres from Venice, Oikos takes its name from the Greek word for “home.” For the brand, an entrance door is not only a means of protection, but also the first architectural gesture in the perception of a home. A key moment in Oikos’s development came in 2005 with the introduction of Synua, a large vertical pivot security door that helped shape the idea of “entrance architecture.” Today, Oikos develops and manufactures its products in Italy, combining advanced production, careful work with materials and wide customization options for entrances that become a meaningful part of the façade and interior.
